GENERAL VYCHESLAV BORISOV
Moscow, Russia

Glenn & Joani Tabor
3105 Embassy Dr.
Roanoke, VA 24019

My Dear Brothers & Sisters,

First I want to thank you. I am so grateful for your prayers, cards, and letters sent to me and my wife Valentina. And I thank you for all you have done providing Bible to people in Russia, (most have never read a Bible, and are hearing the Gospel for the first time). The commitment and generosity you have shown in the past has truly been life changing for those who were blessed to receive their first Bible. Your spirit has been an inspiration to me.

I am also writing to let you know about the situation in Russia, and in Communist time. Our new president is Vladimir Putin, a former KGB official. No one is certain how this new government will affect our freedoms, more importantly our efforts in this mission.

This is a critical time for our country. Still only one person in 16 have a Bible. In the military, one Bible is usually shared by 60 soldiers. This year nearly 300,000 young men will be inducted into the military, from throughout Russia. Most of these young men have never heard about Jesus, in a real way, neither do they have a Bible.

Our efforts, through the grace of God, have already made a profound impact, even in the military of Russia.

God opened the doors most believed would never open. What's amazing, is that this all started with smuggling Bibles. Today chapels are being built on Russian military bases, and several top Generals have become Christians. This effort is penetrating the deepest and darkest regions of Russia.

I will not complain about my physical condition. However the Doctors have informed me they believe I am not physically able to make more trips to America for awhile. I resist telling you how serious my condition is because I know the Lord is not finished yet with General Borisov.

God spared my life in war, rescuing me from a fatal helicopter crash. His very hand has been on my life. Now I have lived to see one of the most significant evangelistic efforts in history. God is not finished, and I am certainly not finished. This mission is too effective and impacting too many lives.

Graciously God sent me, Russian Colonel Eugene Khatushin. This man has been able to help carry this torch, reaching people in some of the most remote areas of Russia. He is helping me in this ministry, and taking great responsibility. God is blessing his work.

Before anyone decides that God is finished with this mission, stop and look at the results. You are a vital and essential part, of not only an effective effort, but a productive effort. The Bibles distributed are near the absolute highest quality, and printed for a fraction of their value. You have provided the resources to print these Bibles.

My part was to make sure every Bible was given to people who need them. God continues to bless this work with opportunities to give Bibles to all the newly inducted soldiers. This is a God team, it's His mission, and it is working. Our team is reaching, the un-reached people. God did not call someone else for this mission. He chose us.

It has been some time since many have given for Bibles. You may feel there is no longer a need. But most Russian soldiers have yet to receive their first Bible. We need complete Bibles and children Bibles. We have none.

While we continue to give away our remaining New Testaments, we are unable to do so much longer. Our supply is almost gone. It takes a team to make this work.

I ask you to do as you have done in the past, go to the Lord, ask Him to speak to your heart. God will show you how many Bibles you are to provide. Please know that your commitment for Bibles for those in Russia has been deeply appreciated. I am so thankful for your generous spirit and for the happiness you have provided for others through giving them His Word. Our Bibles for Russia's Army is the best thing that has ever happened to my country.

"I Will Never Give Up",
General Vycheslav Borisov

"MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS -- Please Help..."
General Borisov

Joani says, "Since General Borisov's health will not permit him to come to America and speak, I am asking you to help us encourage him with our prayers and by keeping this 'Bibles for Russia' mission outreach going."
